PHOTOGRAPHY HOLIDAYS ON PAXOS

'AUTUMN PHOTOGRAPHY WEEK': 30 SEPTEMBER - 7 OCTOBER 2013

Why Paxos: Paxos is a beautiful island and, with its pretty villages, stunning scenery and wonderfully clear light, it is hard to imagine a more inspirational location for a photography holiday. On the West coast there are dramatic cliffs and sea caves, while on the East coast there are pretty, unspoilt villages and scenic bays. Much of the island is covered in olive groves, which are carpeted with a myriad of wild flowers throughout the year, from the first daffodils of January to the cyclamen, crocuses and other wild flowers that first appear in Spring and then re-appear with the first showers of Autumn.

Who are our photography holidays for:  Our friendly and informal photography holidays are for anyone who has at least a basic understanding of how their camera works and what can be achieved using its various features but wants to increase that knowledge and also further develop their wider photography skills. As the number of places on each holiday is limited to 8, there will be plenty of opportunities for individual advice and we can therefore accommodate enthusiastic beginners who are prepared to do some pre-holiday reading, as well as those with considerably more experience. 

Photography holidays in 2013: We are delighted that professional photographer, Chris Gilbert, who has been teaching landscape photography for a number of years and was Highly Commended in the 2012 national Take a View Landscape Photographer of the Year Competition, will be leading an 'Autumn Photography Week' in 2013.

Where you stay: Accommodation for our photography holidays is in lovely shared villas, each with its own pool and spacious terraces, set in the shade and tranquillity of the olive groves about a 20-minute walk above Loggos.

Alternative accommodation and extended holidays: It is also possible for anyone who has their own accommodation or who wishes to be more independent just to join the group tuition sessions. And if you would like to extend your holiday and spend a few additional days on Paxos or a few days on Corfu, either before or after the photography course, then we can help you to arrange accommodation. Please contact us to discuss the options.  

Second Holiday/Course Discount: We will give you a discount of £40 if you book any two holidays or courses in our current programme.
